Writers block, more like writers wall...
I wanted to continue to write about Lawrence the time traveling hippo, I have a problem that I am not sure how to overcome when it comes to my writing. You see when I write things from a creative place, it is a spark. A spark that while I write is continuously on, it's when I try to come back and reignite that spark that I experience problems. I don't know what it is, what makes me lose it when I try to return. I cannot seem to recapture the "magic" of the spark in a sense. Which is weird because all of the ideas are still inside my head ready to come out. I just can't ever seem to start writing with the same ease as I did when I first wrote about something. Take my story Feline Revolution for example. I wrote about 5 pages in about a day or so, but trying to go back in I just can't. I have ideas in place sure, but when I try and contextualize them into moving the story forward, I lock up. I decided to write this to try and grease the wheels of my creativity, perhaps writing and expressing things would allow me continue to my hippo story. I have always called what I wrote flash fiction, since the stories come in flashes or as I said earlier sparks. I would love to find a way to fix this little issue of mine so I can be free to revisit stories and complete them. Hell, my cats have yet to have their revolution that the story is titled after. I hit a wall on that one and so far have been unable to climb it.
If you can't tell my mind is all over the place lately. Like a swirling vortex of random thoughts you could say.
