My First Four Days In The Glorious Realm Of Skyrim.......Let The Good Times And Adventures Begin Part One: Days 1 & 2 (For The Most Part)

Waiting such Waiting. I have waited so long for this to come out and engross my free time, would it live up to the high standard that I am expecting? One word yes!!!

The character I created was an Argonian named of all fierce things, Frank (I am terrible with RPG names) any way I went with Argonian due to the fact they look awesome pics will follow, and the fact that the main character is Dragon born made it seem fitting. Granted any race in the game is dragon born but a giant lizard seemed sweet and ever since seeing the updated character models a while back the lizard was the clear choice. So without further adieu may I present Frank the fierce Argonian!!

Once I had my guy and I was on my way the world opened up as it always does with the Elder Scrolls. That level of openness is something I absolutely love about the series, once you get past the obligatory prison break opening it's up to you do what you want go where you want. Start the story or wander the wild it's all up to me. I decided to do a bit of the story first you know to get things in motion and get to see the things that are the selling point or one of the many I should say Dragons. Since I read that they don't start appearing till a few main missions are completed I figured before I wander and get chased by bears I should do a few. I headed to the first town down the road Riverwood, as I get closer to the town I hear hammer clanging against metal, sounds of the local blacksmith creating his weapons. I head into town, do the whole look around thing talk to some folks get a mini quest regarding a love triangle silly townsfolk. I then get the news to head to Whiterun (Skyrim's central hub) I again talk to a few folks to get the story moving and wouldn't you know it there is a disturbance near a watchtower on the outskirts of town. So I head out with some Whiterun guards to investigate the trouble, we arrive at the tower all seems calm but the tower is in bad shape but then wait uh oh Dragon!!!!!! The unlucky dragons name happened to be Sahloknir. I saw unlucky due to the fact that with the guards and my well aimed arrows, the dragon was no match for us even though he put up a hell of a fight we bested the devil and I as Dragon Born absorbed his soul.

We'll call that my ten point buck hunter shot haha. I probably should state that I didn't actually get a shot of the first dragon I killed the one pictured above has a pretty nifty little story attached to it. See after dragons are found out the spawn throughout the world randomly you could be leaving a shop and bam dragon, or you could be wandering the wilderness and uh oh dragon. This particular dragon was a bastard. It all started in the tundra I nice open field with ponds and grass for miles, as I walked across I spotted a group of giants herding some mammoths. I needed to get past them to get to my next quest so I decided to try and sneak behind them as to avoid being clubbed by two angry giants. So I crouch and start to sneak past them giggling in my head that silly giants don't see me haha when all of a sudden a roar is heard throughout the tundra. Oh crap my first random dragon encounter while I am trying to be stealthy. With the roar heard from all over the giants were on alert as luck would have it one turns around and what do they see a crouching sneaky lizard. They did not appreciate seeing that, perhaps mistaking me for a threat he swings his club at me. I narrowly avoid the hit and scurry away towards the open wings of a fire breathing monster. Not sure of what to do in this wide open area I haul ass with my sprint pressed fully and run away from both the giants and dragon. Getting enough distance between the dragon, giants and myself for me to become invisible to them the giants and dragon begin to fight each other thankfully I am now a ghost to them. I decide to take the cowards way out and just try and pick off the dragon with my bow from a comfortable distance. Which works for the most part but with about 1/3 of it's life left it proceeds to crawl after me, and not a slow crawl either more angry. so I switch tactics and pull out my Skyforge steel sword and Orcish war axe and charge at the beast with a head of steam looking to end it quickly. I swing away hitting him for the most part of the time, he didn't appreciate that one bit he decided to breathe a nice breath of sweet fire at me so I switch from my axe to a healing spell to heal my charred wounds. With my health back up to a fighting level I go for a final power strike it lands but doesn't kill the beast only stuns him but thankfully enough for me to initiate a bad ass killing animation with me jumping on his neck and chopping away. Once the animation is over another dragon has now fallen to my sword bringing the unfortunate total of dragon deaths to two. The second one was way more exhilarating and got me stoked for even more dragon fights to come and believe more came.

I lost track of time during my play through minutes turned to hours and before I knew it days had changed that was but a small sampling of what I did I am sure I forgot a few things here and there maybe I'll remember for part two of this Skyrim post. Stay tuned for days 3 and 4 which feature more dragon deaths, A bloody wedding, The Dark Brotherhood, a bad ass horse and Frank the Chef? Oh and it's just the tip of the iceberg my friends it's been a great few days with a bunch of stories I plan to share hope you enjoyed the first little bit of my adventure and part two should be even more fun I mean Frank is a Chef, a Skyrim Emeril if you will BAM!!!!

Love and Rockets Josh Out!
